    Hi Kana,

do you want to change the name and keep the possibility of registering prior to an order?

In WooCommerce's settings you can disable this feature and the link will only display "Login". Otherwise you can use the Loco Translate plugin to create a language file for your current language and translate "Login / Register" to "Login". I know this actually isn't a translation, but the plugin works well for such adjustments without the need to adjust the theme's code.

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

Thank you  very much for your advice.

I want customers to create accounts on the checkout page, not on "my account" page. I don't need the word "Login / Register" and want to change to just "Login". How can I do for the account settings for the link to display only "Login"? I attached a photo of my account setting.

I also tried to use Loco Translate plugin and found the word "Login / register" on "Themes/Uku Child/Uku/de_DE.po". I created a new language(Japanese), but there isn't the word "Login / register" anymore in the source text...I could find the word just "Login". I don't know what I should do. Please help me again...

I'm sorry for my bad English. Thank you very much.

    Hi Kana,

you're right. I'm sorry, but the theme actually doesn't check for this option. I'll forward this, so it can be considered in a theme update.

To change this string using Loco Translate please do not place it directly in the theme directory (2. Choose Location). Your custom language would be overwritten by a future theme update.

Unfortunately I'm not able to recreate the issue. Did you press the "Sync" button after creating your language file? If not, can you try it once? If you still can't find the "Login / Register" string, may I take a direct look at your dashboard? Therefore you can create a temporary admin user for me. You can use my email address wordpress@marcjandt.de. Please get back to me here after creating an account.

    Best,

    Hi Marc,

Thank you very much for your reply. I chose English, placed it in "languages/loco/themes" and pressed "Sync" button, but I couldn't find the word " Login / Register". So, I added you as a user. Please check your email. Thank you for your kindness.

    Hi Kana,

thank you very much. Your language template file had the wrong string "Login" in it. I'm not sure, where this is coming from. Can you tell me whether you've bought the theme bundle or the single Uku theme?

I've adjusted this original string so the translation will work now. I've already created a Japanese language file and "translated" "Login / Register" to "Login".

    Best,
    Marc

    Hi Marc,

    Thank you very much!

If I want to make it back to the original in the future, I just write "Login / Register" in the Japanese translation form?

I bought the single Uku theme.

    Hi Kana,

yes, you can "translate" it back to "Login / Register" or simply remove the "translation".
