    Deep breath...

I don't know what it is but each time I feel I have completely configured my site the way it supposed to be, it's not the case.

I don't have many plugins I only have WooCommerce and a few others. I chose UKU because it is WooCommerce compatible.

Yet, when I try to do a test order the fly menu where the cart should be does not appear. Then when going to the Checkout page the fields to input the credit card do not appear either.

I have tried to deactivate plugins to see if it sorts itself out but no.

    Can somebody help

UPDATE: the offcanvas shopping cart and stripe fields do not show up on Chrome or Safari.

I guess UKU needs an update. It does work with Firefox

    Hi Luisa,

the off canvas shopping cart works in my Safari but doesn't work in my Firefox (after a second try, Safari won't work, so I guess the problem appears only sometimes). Inspecting the Javascript there is an issue regarding a WooCommerce's JavaScript. Please contact the WooCommerce support for help.

Additional JavaScript errors occur on your checkout page, which may be the problem for the Stripe fields as well. In most cases this actually has to do something with JavaScript using plugins. A file of the WooCommerce Checkout Manager appears in the errors list, so you can try to deactivate this plugin first to further troubleshoot the issue.

    Thank you Marc.

Can you tell me which Javascript error I should ask about in the woocommerce forum?

I have deactivated the checkout manager but it CC fields still do not appear in Chrome nor in safari.. only in Firefox.. if I reactivate it, the fields do appear in Firefox anyway so I'm not sure it's that plugin.

    Hi Luisa,

    the following error gets displayed:

[Error] ReferenceError: Can't find variable: Cookies
        (anonyme Funktion) (woocommerce.min.js:1:445)
        i (jquery.js:2:27455)
        fireWith (jquery.js:2:28215)
        ready (jquery.js:2:30018)
        K (jquery.js:2:30374)

A quick web search revealed, that Mailchimp could be the problem. Can you deactivate this plugin and check again if the cart overlay works?

If you deactivate the Checkout Manager plugin again, we can at least check how many JavaScript errors are gone on your checkout page.

Your browser's dev tools will display the JavaScript errors, so you can check out which issues remain after deactivating the plugins.

    Best,
    Marc

I deactivated both mailchimp plugins (Mailchimp for Woocommerce and Mailchimp for WordPress) and the checkout manager. Which I need to make the Phone not required.

Cleared the cookies from chrome. The off-canvas cart still does not appear on Chrome or safari.

With the checkout manager deactivated, I can see the Stripe fields in FIREFOX only.

I checked the console but I have no idea what the errors mean. :(

    Hi Luisa,

did you contact the WooCommerce support? It seems that all errors are actually based on the JavaScript problem which seems to originate from the WooCommerce plugin.

    Hi Marc,

After doing a mega tour of the forums, wp facebook communities host and stripe.. the culprit was...

Mailchimp's pop-up code in the header which must have been deprecated somewhere and caused these problems. I think i might have added it a long time ago before installing the plugins. That's why when I deactivated them it didn't seem to work.

Now the console is clean of errors!

I apologize for my frumping and frustration. I truly love my site and I was heartbroken that I might have to switch.

    Thank you.
