Ubud - 'page contents' at top of page.

  • Tara Fitness started the conversation

    I'm using the Ubud theme on a self hosted site and I have the following questions:

    1. On my site I have the text ‘page contents’ above the menu bar.  (See tarafitness.com.au). Can you please tell me how to remove this? In devtools on Chrome I can see the excess code, but I don't know how to remove it. I don't have access to Appearance --> Edit, so how can I change and save this code?

    2. Is there a way to change colour of menu bar to black background with white text?

    3. On the home page (showing latest blog posts), is there a way to place post title below images, instead of when you hover over them?

    4. On blog post pages, can I add extra text below the author, date, comments, categories & tags section. I simply want to add an affiliate links disclaimer to this text.

    Hi Tara,

    1) this is quite odd. Please deactivate all plugins once and check if the text is still being displayed. Are you using the latest version of the theme?

    2 & 3) You can change the layout using additional CSS code. The following sample code can be a start for your adjustments:

    @media screen and (min-width: 1200px) {
        #site-nav {
            background: #000;
        #site-nav ul li a {
            color: #fff;

    4) You'd need to customize the single post template files to add additional default content. I strongly recommend using a child theme for direct code adjustments. A prepared child theme folder is linked in the Ubud documentation.

    Please understand that we cannot provide support for individual customizations.
